Dear Colleagues,

SGD has received a request to make PHO2 the standard name for YDL106C. At
present, the gene is named GRF10, with PHO2 and BAS2 as aliases. PHO2,
however, is by far the most commonly used name in the literature, and BAS2
is also used more often than GRF10. We plan to make PHO2 the standard
name, and keep BAS2 and GRF10 as aliases, unless anyone in the community
raises objections. Please let us know if you have any questions or
concerns. Our e-mail address is yeast-curator at genome.stanford.edu.

Thank you,
