In the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Vrije Universiteit
Amsterdam, a 4-year PhD position as well as a 2-year postdoc position is
available, for studies on the osmotic stress response in Saccharomyces
cerevisiae. Special emphasis will be on the characterizarion of the
recently discovered alternative activation mechanism of the HOG MAPkinase
pathway. This research project will initially form part of the EU
TMR-project 'Response of yeast and plant cells to changes in external
osmolarities' and therefore is restricted to EU-nationals. If you are
