POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Applications are invited from motivated individuals for the ARC-funded
position of Post-doctoral Research Associate within a large, well funded
multidisciplinary group, to study the mechanisms of transcriptional
regulation of genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Current research interests within the laboratory centre on the
transcriptional responses to metabolic and environmental signals and to
cellular stresses. Primary focus of the position will be on one-carbon
metabolism in yeast. More detailed descriptions of projects within the lab

Candidates should have a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics
or a related area and possess a strong background in molecular biological
techniques. Experience in eukaryotic transcriptional regulation, especially
in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, or experience in protein biochemistry will be
an advantage.
Salary will be on ARC post-doc scales and will depend on qualifications and
experience. The University of NSW is is an affirmative action/ equal

be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of three years.
