'Cellular responses to oxidative and osmotic stress' is a topic presently
being in the focus of interest of molecular biologists. In particular,
sensing of stress signals and subsequently triggered signal transduction
pathways have recently gained major attention. So far, however,no attempt
has been made to bring together scientists involved in fundamental and
applied research focusing on organisms as different as bacteria, yeasts,
plants and mammals. Therefore, the initiative of the scientific committee
to organize a novel congress on oxidative and osmotic stress had the honour
to be selected by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences as a
prestigeous STAR (Science Technology and Art Recognition) congress. The
bringing-together of scientists operating at the forefront of cellular
stress research, in addition, provides a unique opportunity to young
scientists to actively interact with this field and its present leaders.
The organizers expect this meeting to become a breeding place for new
collaborative activities. We aim at stimulating active interactions among
the participants with respect to exploring future scientific developments
and linked activities in the market.
You are cordially invited to participate; see our Web-site
Note: DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS APRIL 2.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee,
Pim Mager (Chairman)
