Hi netters,
I have some problems with yeast growth.
People say: grow yeast overnight! OK! My question is how long is
overnight!
I'm working with minimal inducing medium (yeast are shifting from
glucose to galactose). I start culture with on OD600=0.4. After 16
hours, OD600=0.54=1.16x10E6 cells/ml. Is it normal? Normally, we need
1-2x10E7. How long it will take to reach this level, in minimal inducing
medium?
Best regards
David Humair
