The EPA in North Queensland has received a development application for a
proposed yeast manufacturing plant adjacent to a sugar mill. To my
knowledge there are only three factories in Australia. It is proposed
that the factory will produce 10 000 cubic meters of dry yeast and 80
000 cubic meters of vinasse (dunder) by-products a year. I have had
trouble obtaining information on manufacturing processes, incubation
periods, waste management and reuse of waste products. Can you help?
