Hey there!
I was just reading through a paper that was attempting to characterize a
novel gene and its protein. I noticed that in some assays a haploid
strain is used but a diploid is used in others.
Are there any strategic benefits to using a haploid vs a diploid in
assessing growth or DNA replication?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks much!
