GENETICIST
The Department of Biology, Bryn Mawr College invites applications for
tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor beginning fall
1999. We are searching for a broadly-trained GENETICIST whose research
uses modern molecular biological techniques and intersects with one or more
of the following fields already represented in the department and elsewhere
on campus: cell and developmental biology, neural and behavioral sciences,
ecology and environmental sciences. Teaching responsibilities will include
a course in classical and molecular genetics with lab, participation in the
team-taught introductory biology course, and an advanced course in a
specialty area. Development of an active research program involving
undergraduate and graduate students is expected. The successful candidate
is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to combining teaching and
research activities. A Ph.D. is required and post-doctoral research
experience is desirable.
