The Department of Biology, Georgia Southern University, invites
applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor
level. Proficiency in written and spoken English required. Postdoctoral
experience preferred. Starting date for both positions is 1 August 1999.

MICROBIOLOGIST: Applicants must have broad training in microbiology and a
commitment to teaching and scholarship. The specific area of research is

VERTEBRATE BIOLOGIST. Applicants must have broad training in vertebrate
biology with a commitment to teaching and scholarship. The specific area of
research is open, but preference will be given to persons whose research
contributes to a departmental emphasis in the biology of the Southeastern
Coastal Plain. Teaching responsibilities include general biology and
