My laboratory has openings for highly motivated post-doctoral fellows
who want to work in a multidisciplinary environment to understand the
function of a newly discovered superfamily of nucleotide-binding
proteins. Two of the yeast genes we work on are HNT1 and HNT2. They
are the homologs of Hint and Fhit, the latter being a tumor-suppressor
protein and protein product of the most frequently disrupted gene in
lung cancer. Among the methods in use in the laboratory are X-ray
crystallography, enzymology and yeast genetics.
Please send a letter of interest with your list of publications and the
contact numbers for your referees. Candidates who can be interviewed in
person are preferred.
