This really depends on when during the cell cycle you wish to start them
off.  I'm currently using alpha-factor to arrest the cells in G1 but I
believe there are cdc mutants that can be arrested later in the cycle.  If
you want to know more about alpha-factor, let me know either in the
newsgroup or my e-mail.
