in Nentrez/WWW-Entrez you could do this query (against a subset of medline)
that looks like this:
( ( "saccharomyces" [WORD] | "yeast" [WORD] ) & ( "protease" [WORD] )
& ( "1996" [DATE] ) )
(on the WWW, you have to AND and OR different items as seperate commands)
I attach the the text and html below of the 30 hits this produced
(the html needs to be edited out, saved to a file, and read by your
favorite browser to see the links to abtracts, relatedpapers, sequences).
Of course, you still need to look at these papers and see if they are
relevant to what you want ;-) ... but you will aso be able to fine
tune your query as well (ie you may want to include 1995 as
"current"). But I think Entrez can be useful for what you want!
