Dear Martin:

I dont know about the Denver meeting DNA ladder in yeast. But I saw a
poster related to the subject at the 1996 Yeast Madison.Check abstract
114B Longo et al. in the abstract book. They are from UCLA and report
improved survival and resistance to certain stress factors in yeast
transformed with the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2. I also heard that
Guarente's group did not found any evidence of a usual apoptosis in yeast
but who knows?
