Dear yeasters,
The phosphatase inhibitor okadaic acid inhibits some phosphatases extracted from
from yeast, as it does similar enzymes from "higher" organisms. However, I
have been unable to find any information on whether okadaic acid will act on
the enzymes in intact yeast cells, as it does in cultured vertebrate cells.
I would be grateful to anyone who can provide info. about the in vivo effect
of this compound on yeast.
Sincerely,
Mike Leibowitz
