Hi netters et al.,
I am happy to send out either plasmid pEA500 (his7 marked ars plasmid with
blue/white screen capability, but not an expression vector) or pEA2 (his7
cloned into a pUC polylinker to facilitate removal of his7 on various
restriction fragments). These plasmids are described in Current Genetics
24:491-495 (1993). Please let me know who you are, what you want, and where
to send it. I assume you also need a his7 mutant host strain.
For people interested in gene disruptions in S. pombe, I have a pair of
strains that are of opposite mating types, carrying complementing ade6-M210
and ade6-M216 alleles. Furthermore they are both leu1-32, ura4-D18, and
his7-366, therefore they can receive LEU2, ura4, or his7-marked disruptions.

Hellow yeast,
I am seeking for the his7+ gene of S. pombe, as an auxotrophic
marker. If I could, I would like his7 on a fission yeast vector, for
example, REP series. Of course, I am happy to accept any other
plasmid including his7 if I can isolate the his7 fragment from the
plasmid by digesting with appropriate endnucleases.
I would be most grateful to your kind cooperation. Thanks.
