This August in Madison. Theme? Does it have to have a theme? It's The
Yeast Meeting! People get away from their labs for a week to recapture the
spirit of drinking beer and chatting with olde friends... Sort of antique
mall for yeast "things" that do not fit any describable category or for
results that one did not spend enough time thinking about to communicate
them at Keystone but does not have a heart to throw them away, not just
yet. But it's cheap, Madison has great beer and you might hear what those
German doctors were doing with all them genome sequences... :-)
The fact that all my pleas to go to any transcription meeting this year
were cold-heartedly disregarded by the commanding officer have no bearing
on me feelings. Right.
