I am working with fission yeast and wish to attempt the
complementation of a budding yeast mutation with a fission yeast
gene. I wonder if co transformation with a fission yeast and a budding
yeast vector would be likely to give rise to rearrangements such that the
pombe gene goes into the budding yeast vector. This works well in
fission yeast but I dont know if this is true of budding yeast.
Can anyone help?
