The CSH yeast course is great, the people are very knowledgable and
the seminars are fantastic. I heartily recommend the course to
persons that are not very familiar with Saccharomyces techniques that
are moving into them. The lab procedures and manuals are all
rewarding as well as the contacts. The course hours are fairly
intensive and most nights you work until past midnight and rise
before 8. Plus you can look forward to the plate race. I hope they
haven't altered the policies too much since there is also a definite
need to immerse yourself in the yeast system and especially important
to saturate yourself with yeast by products.
