To all users:
Dr. R.Dan Gietz of the University of Manitoba (Canada) is in the midst of
writing a review of Yeast transformation for Biotechniques and has asked that
I put out a call for papers/citations that peoples have used in the
past few years on new techniques (ex. frozen competant yeast cells,
high efficiency trafos by various methods etc.)

Please refer to the following articles:

Schiestl,RH., P.Manivasakam, RA.Woods, and RD.Gietz, (1993) Introducing DNA
into yeast by transformation. Methods: A Companion to Methods in Enzymology
   5, 79-85.

Gietz,RD., and RA.Woods (1994) High Efficiency transformation in Yeast.
Molecular genetics of Yeast: Practical approaches, ed. J.A. Johnston,
    Oxford University Press pp 121-134.
are there new techniques out in the past year(s) that have not been
covered in these previous reviews?

Thanks for your time.
