Postdoctoral position to study yeast meiosis

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION:  Available immediately to study meiotic chromosome
synapsis, recombination and segregation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  My
lab is focussed on identifying and characterizing genes which are important
for the faithful segregation of homologs during meiosis using genetic,
biochemical and cytological approaches.  The recent focus of the lab is on
MSH5, a meiosis-specific MutS homolog which acts to facilitate interhomolog
crossovers (see Genes and Development 9: 1728-1739).  A strong background
in genetics, protein biochemistry or cytology is required.  SUNY Stony
