This is in response to problems with recovering plasmids from budding
yeast. We have started using the prot'l from NAS V20 #14. This is essentially
the standard glass bead method with a ammonium acetate ppt. thrown in. This
extra step seems to get rid of most of the inhibitory agents and GREATLY
increases the efficiency of the process. I highly recommend giving it a try!
