G418 in S. pombe

Dear fizzies,
	I routinely use 100 mcg/ml G418 (actual G418, not G418 sulfate) in
YEA plates to select for plasmids containing neoR driven by the adh1
promoter. I autoclave the media 1st, cool to 55 C then I add drug from a
10 mg/ml stock. It seems to work fine although the plates do get bad
after extended storage > 1yr.
Sincerely,

Mike Moser Tel: 206-543-5354
