Postdoctoral Position Available

We have an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to work in 
the field of molecular signaling and peptide-protein recognition.  
Current studies focus on the yeast mating peptide-receptor.  Upon 
binding a 13 a.a. peptide, this receptor activates a signal transduction 
pathway that culminates in cell cycle mitotic arrest.  Molecular 
biology techniques will be used to construct recombinant receptors and 
express these receptors in yeast strains.  Receptors will be 
characterized by genetic and physical methods, purified, and labeled 
with affinity-peptides.  Our laboratory is located within the Center of 
Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research, a state-of-the-art facility with 
a staff of 20 investigators including technical support.  Candidates 
with training in yeast genetics who would like to acquire expertise in 
protein chemistry are encouraged to apply.  Interested candidates
