A postdoctoral research associateship is available at the Biology
Apartment, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to work on the
molecular biology and biotechnology of the plant hormone ethylene in
banana. The project will involve cloning, sequencing and molecular
characterization of the ethylene biosynthesis-related enzymes and genes
and genetic transformation. The position is for two years with a monthly
salary ranging from HK$ 18,000 to 25,000 (equitvalent to US$ 2,300 to
