Why does FCS induce hyphae in C. albicans

Hi all,
I have been using fetal calf serum to induce my Candida albicans to become
hyphal in morphology. Does anybody know what component it is in the FCS that
induces the transformation? Regular Sabouraund both just gives the
blastoconidia. I had read where C' can induce this but the FCS has been heat
inactivated so C' shouldn't be active. Just curious.
Thanks,
