Hello Kind Yeast Netters!!
I am looking for a genomic GAL1 promoter driven overexpression library
which is in a centromeric plasmid bearing a yeast marker other than URA3
(i.e., what Ramer et. al. described in PNAS 89:11589-11593, 1992....but on
with a different marker). You see, i wish to isolate genes which
interfere with a process that we've hooked up to give URA3
expression...and re-engineering the system would be...well...unpleasant
and inconvenient to say the least. Indeed, i think (but am not sure) that
making my own library would be easier.
If you have such a library, or can direct me to folks who might, please
drop me a line!!
Many thanks in advance!!
(p.s.- i'm in the midst of contacting Dr. S. Ramer and Dr. S. Elledge, and
have already spoken with Dr. R. Davis...things don't really look very
promising here though, so i thought i'd ask the net community as well)
