Does anyone know the normal convention for assigning a size to mature rRNA for
yeast? I have always used 23S and 16S, corresponding to 3.36 kb
and 1.71 kb, respectively, but was recently criticized in a manuscript for
doing so. . .the reviewer says that it is conventional to use either 27S and
15S or 26S and 14S. Help!! I'm trying to prepare figures for a publication and
really don't know how to label them. . .any advice or suggested references
would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
