Hello: I have a yeast gene under the ctl of the gal10 promoter. I am
wondering what methods are available for lowering the expression of the
protein. Expression is too high for my purposes (immunofluorescent
localization). Can I expect significant basal expression in raffinose or
another nonfermentable C source like acetate or ethanol? Does lowering
the gal concentration work?
Thank you, John Aitchison
