Dear yeasties--a note on titrating the gal1 promoter by playing with gluocse
and galactose concentrations: once you have induced the gal1 gene (kinase)
with galactose and the galactose is still present, the addition of gluocse
will repress the expression of Gal1, but not shut it down. See Adams, B.G.

indcued, it will stay that way in the presence of galactose due to the
