The QUEST Protein Database Center is a resource for the construction
and analysis of 2D gel protein databases. A Saccharomyces cerevisiae 2D
gel protein database and a WWW version of YPD the non-redundant Yeast
Protein Database have been added to the QUEST server.
The QUEST WWW server is located at "http://siva.cshl.org/index.html"
The server currently contains:
2D gel protein databases:
Rat (REF52 cell line)
Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)
YPD - The non-redundant Yeast Protein Database
Information on the Quest II 2D Gel Database software
New additions:
We have identified almost 100 proteins of S. cerevisiae on 2D gels. On
our Yeast 2D gel WWW server one can search for proteins on 2D gels, and
then link to other yeast databases such as SacchDB at Stanford for
mapping information, SWISS-PROT or OWL for more detailed information
about the protein, or to YPD for information such as the calculated
isoelectric point, molecular weight, codon bias, subcellular
localization, and other protein properties.
