Hello to everybody out there!
I am a graduate student at the Biocenter in Basel and I have some problems
with using the 5-fluoroorotic acid (5-FOA) counter-selection in S.cerevisiae.
SD plates containing 5-FOA (1 mg/ml) have a low pH, i.e. about pH 4.5.
Is this the source of my problems and is it therefore necessary to buffer
5-FOA medium prior to use?
Can someone out there help me and perhaps point me to some relevant references?
Thanks, Horst Pick
