The most exciting work in yeast?
- polar growth of cerevisiae (ya know the Fink paper some two
years ago in Cell), and the polarity studies in pombe (Paul Nurse)
- Nucleo-cytoplasmic interactions, in other words nucleo-
mitochondrial gene transfer (Butow , Fox ??)
- cell cycle (this is a tribute to Fatima at IMP, Vienna)
The less interesting work in yeast:
- taxonomy and systematics
I hope i did not hurt anybody :)
