In response to my query concerning the trp1-901 allele of S. cerevisiae, Phil Hieter has responded "trp1-901 is the same as trp1 delta 1. See Sikorski, Genetics 122:19-27 (1989). It's a deletion of the 1.45 kb TRP1/ARS1 fragment."
