In our lab, we break yeast in an osterizer blender with glass beads.
Take frozen cells, mix with 5 cell weights glass beads and one cell volume
buffer, and grind 5x 30sec. each with cooling on a salted ice bath between.
Maintain temperature below 4oC, (temp before each grinding session should
be below 1oC).
