I like to overexpress some S. cerevisiae proteins that are insoluble
in E. coli. S. cerevisiae is an obvious alternative but usually the level
of expression is very low. I have heard of Pichia pastoris as an alternative
with potential for very high leves of expression. I would appreciate some
advice and state of the art information on the P. pastoris expression system.
Is there a P. pastoris plasmid or expression constructs are simply integrated
in the genome?
Thank for your help
