Hi, I'm a chemical engineer, usually only a lurker. GMP is Good
Manufacturing Practices, a government standard that all manufacturing
facilities (at least those in the diagnostic and pharmaceutical
businesses, I believe) must follow. ISO 9000 is a more stringent form.
GMP is a discipline in itself, the amount of paperwork that the people
who deal with it have to do is unbelievable.
