To the members of the newsletter:
I am seeking help for I have been trying to run an
experiment involving axolotl embryos but I have not been
able to get it off the ground.
My problem is quite simple, I have not been able to get any
of my females to produce any spawnings. Not even mate.
For the mating I chose 3 couples of unknown age,
two of which are kept in an 80 liter tank ; the another one
is kept in a 40 liter tank. All at a temperature of 18
degrees Celcius and being fed liver twice a week.
I have tried the 12 hour light periods and water
temperature regulation.
I have tried icing the water after periods of higher water
temperature.
I have been trying these for the past three weeks with no
results.
I need to know if anyone has a different technique which
has proved to be effective with conditions symilar to the
ones of my axolotls.
Thank you
