Position #1:  The Department of Biology of Washburn University is seeking
applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of
molecular/cell biology.  The applicant must be able to teach an advanced
undergraduate cell/molecular course which would expose undergraduate
students to current techniques, and the applicant must be involved in
teaching introductory biology courses.  Applicants will have a Ph.D.
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated teaching
excellence and post-doctoral work.  The successful applicant would be
expected to carry on an active undergraduate research program.  An
application letter, transcripts of all previous academic coursework,
curriculum vitae, a personal statement concerning undergraduate teaching
philosophy, and three letters of recommendation should be sent to:

Position #2:

The Biology Department is also seeking applicants for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position in the areas of human physiology and anatomy. 
The applicant must be able to teach human physiology and one upper level
physiology course, human anatomy utilizing cadavers, and introductory
biology courses.  The successful applicant would be expected to carry out
an active research program which would involve several undergraduate
students each semester.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. and preference will
be given to those with substantial teaching experience.  An application
letter, transcripts of all previous academic coursework, curriculum vitae,
a personal statement concerning undergraduate teaching philosophy, and
