Saturated? It's not stable. Pop goes flat, so the spontaneous reaction
is:
H2C03 ---> CO2 + H20
Maybe you would be better off comparing zinc carbonate to an equal
number of moles
of the zinc-saturated enzyme. Which solution requires more vacuum
pressure to extract the CO2? Begin the comparison after you have added
as many moles of CO2 as are already in the zinc carbonate solution. Two
ways might be to do this. One is to simply add the gas to the
zinc-enzyme solution. The other way would be to use isolated enzyme and
add zinc carbonate to that.
I wonder if the enzyme is around to localize the zinc.
