Hello all,
When running an "In gel protease essay", one can see clear bands where the
protease has been active. This is due to the protease degrading the
substrate that is in the gel. How is it that the stain (usually Coomassie)
does not stain the actual protease? Also, can the protease be excised and
extracted from the gel after staining?
