[Protein-analysis] Protein Denaturing, Cells, and Shapes

Hi:

Does a protein molecule take up more length space when denatured than
when in its native configuration? When a protein is denatured, it is
uncoiled. Does this mean it takes up more space when denatured?

If a cell has its proteins denatured, will the shape of the cell
change? I know the proteins will unfold. But would the cell's shape
change?

Thanks,

Radium
