An S-shaped chain consisting of axially-parallel strands of
beta180-joined peptide main chain units, linked by single main chain
units, can join with identical chains to produce pleated sheets whose
strands are either parallel or anti-parallel. The planes of the
resulting pleated sheets are parallel.
