Hi!
CHAPS is very nice zwitterionic detergent with quite big critical
micelle forming concentration 8 mM, it forms aggregates of 10
monomers producing a mass of micelle of about 6 kDa, thus micelles
are very small [because of so big critical micelle forming
concentration] and u can dialyse it almost completely. I dont see
any reason for it to be unstable at RT, but consider your
buffer system, if it is phosphate ------> bacteria love
