I'm writing a program (Abie) to help selecting antigenic peptides for
making
antibodies. The software is now avaiablable online for testing at
http://antibody.changbioscience.com/
The software gives the user the option to select a peptide based on
hydophilicity, amino acid composition, and certain post-translational
modifications. But to the best of my knowledge, picking a peptide is
still an art. What will be the rules you use to pick a peptide with
the best chance to
succeed? If you have some good or bad experience, could you share them
so we can learn from your past success (or failure)? Thanks.
