Assaying for low energy, short lived Protein-Protein Interactions

Hi

I suspect that some of the functions of the enzyme I'm studying are a
result of a  short lived (low energy?) homodimeric protein-protein
interaction - but I can't think of an assay to prove it...any Ideas???
