A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, to characterize structural aspects of the binding
interface between proteins. Over-expression systems exist for several
hetero-binary and ternary protein complexes. Current projects are
directed at cytoplasmic signalling molecules. The laboratory is equipped
with state-of-the-art molecular biology and protein purification
facilities and has full access to the department's R-AXIS IV detector.
Applicants must have a PhD degree and should have a good background in
biochemistry with experience in protein purification and crystallography
techniques. Previous experience in molecular biology would be beneficial
but is not a pre-requisite. Interested candidates are encouraged to
