Grass biotechnology - Control of Flowering
The biotechnology consortium between DLF-TRIFOLIUM A/S and Risø National
Laboratory, Plant Research Department, Denmark, seeks a dynamic Research
Scientist for our major goal-oriented research programme.
Overall objectives include the production of novel transgenic high value
grasses incapable of producing stems and flowers during grassland farming
(biological containment) and with improved agronomic traits.
The programme employs 15+ people and encompasses a number of research
activities, including
? isolation and characterisation of key genes involved in stem and flower
formation
? promoter studies
? development of conditional gene expression systems
? plant transformation systems, and
? transgenic studies.
Applicants with experience in basic molecular techniques are preferred.
The position is a tenure track position. The terms of employment will be in
accordance with the terms valid for the Danish scientific staff at Risø
National Laboratory.
