Dear Investigators,
I am a Research Asst. Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the
Emory School of Medicine. Our group is interested in extending some of
our structural work into the histamine receptor arena. Thus, we are
searching for expression plasmids that contain the gene (cDNA) or part
of a gene for these receptors---particularly, the human H1 receptor.
(However, I would be pleased with any such plasmid for any histamine
receptor and from any species). Expression levels in a host should be
at a level that, after purification, at least near milligram levels of
protein can be obtained in a university laboratory.
If you have such a plasmid, have colleagues who may, or can give me some
insight (I am well aware that histamine receptors are GPCRs) into this
problem, please e-mail me at jrhorto at emory.edu at your earliest
convenience.
Sincerely,
John R. Horton, Ph.D.
