UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS
Centre for Biomolecular Sciences
RESEARCH FELLOW
Salary £16,775 - £25,213 pa
A three-year position is available immediately to join a new research
group in the Centre for Biomolecular Science.
You will join a group studying DNA recombination and repair pathways in
thermophilic archaea, which are an excellent model for the equivalent
processes in eukaryotes. Novel proteins and enzymes involved in these
pathways are being identified and characterised. We utilise a wide
variety of techniques including molecular biology, protein
purification, DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions and
structural biology. Experience in one or more of these techniques would
be an advantage, but training will be available. Candidates should have
a Ph.D. in the Life Sciences. The group is part of a
multi-disciplinary team occupying purpose-built laboratories in the
Centre for Biomolecular Science.
Further details of this and related projects, including further
particulars and recent publications, are available at
