Purified from what?
If from other, non related contaminants, then dissolve and
recrystallize.
If from breakdown products, then deionize with mixed bed ion
exchange resin - column works best, batch may work OK
for you.
Since both procedures are rather a hassle, I always prepare
a lot more than I need of "purified" urea and store 8 M solution
frozen in aliquotes at -80C. Same for deionized acrylamide. Works
great in IEF.
